    HTML Editor

    I have found an on-line documents editor that allows you to edit HTML. It is part of GlideOS.Com. GlideOS has an extension at: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...mioggdeelcjaia

    The extention gives you access to many GlideOS features and the company gives you 30GB free! Yes, that includes music files that DO play on CR-48 with flash.

    If you want a private cloud system, you can download Eye OS. I like the idea of having something like that run in a private cloud.

    Be great to set up Chrome OS to automatically connect to this in full-screen so it acts like a thin client of sorts.

    Actually, isn't this a bit much for just editing HTML? There are extensions and apps for doing that, though usually they are more orientated towards PHP, etc. than just HTML.

    The Online PHP IDE worked pretty well for me, and ShiftEdit is my current one of choice.

    People talk positively of PHP Anywhere, and it looks like it has potential. Unfortunately all it's done for me is mangle my code to the point of losing entire pages of regular HTML (no PHP code included)!

    Hi All, first post. (I probably should have searched a bit harder as I'm sure this question has been asked before)

    I need to be able to right click on an open html document displayed in Chrome then right click to select view source from the submenu, edit the source code, be able to save then press F5 to display the updated source, this is the method I use to edit. I have dropped IE and moved onto Chrome, please tell me this method of editing is possible in Chrome as I really can't deal with wysiwyg editors.

    This chromelounge has really nice aesthetic appeal by the way, nice

    Hi Martin, that is a real neat extension, I really like the validation feature and plan on keeping that one onboard, I must be thick, I still can't figure out how to edit and F5 the source code like I do in IE, all the source I see in chrome is non editable. Just a slight inconvenience that's all. CuteFTP is my next option or back to IE for offline editing..

    Talk about a chronic lack of lateral thinking, all one has to do to use notepad to edit a html document is;

    1) Fire up the HTML document from windows explorer
    2) Right click the icon you used to fire the document
    3) Select edit from the submenu

    Just make sure you have set note pad as your default HTML editor in the browser settings. This works for Chrome and IE, Opera is a step ahead an has a notepad editing option built in. I can't believe I as with everyone else overlooked such a simple method. Talk about relief. Also IE9 for some reason is doing what Chrome does, when you select veiw source from in browser it won't let you edit and save the code. Poo to that, just use the easy-peasy 3 steps above if you're a notepad freak and are trying to figure out why you can not edit the source code by right clicking on an opened document and selecting view source from the submenu.
