And so, I have done it; Today, I downloaded Hexxeh's Vanilla nightly build of 3/26/11, mounted it to my usb drive and did the hard install to my HP Mini 210-1010nr hard drive. The last line of the install in shell said something to the effect of "Cross your fingers and hope for the best" And so I did it. It was a painless install. I set it to do it's thing and went to the kitchen for a cup of coffee, came back, unt voila, it was ll done. Reboot and enjoy. I still have the mute button ...

Yes, I use Vanilla...or should I say, I am trying out the Vanilla builds. I was one of those folks who hadn't heard about the CR48 pilot program until it was well underway. So much my loss! I enjoy using Vanilla as it gives me a challenge in trying to get things to work. Right now, I have sound issues and am at another impasse. Stopped short for want of a root password for the shell. But i will persevere and that issue will too, be passe. I am definitely looking forward to Google's ChromeOS ...
