I had to revert to switching the developer switch, then flipping it back. Almost back to normal now. It scared me for a while.

Same problem here. Can log in but no page loads on the browser. Thus, there is no way to get to about/settings/etc. Trying to see if there's an easy fix other than completely reinstalling the OS. Does the develop hard switch work? Has anyone above used it successfully?
(I'd say my Cr-48 is now a soft brick, can log in. I guess it's better than a hard brick.)
OK. Did the dev switch thing and I'm working now. I'm not a developer per se and have no inclination to tinker with the root, but as long as its working, I probably won't switch back to normal mode. Here are some articles on flipping the switch:

I wrote in another thread also, in response to you, Mike, but this bears repeating. Flipping the switch had largely restored the usability of my CR-48, but this morning's update broke it all over again. The loading of ANY page has become incredibly slow now (though not as slow as to render it 'unresponsive'). Even the typing has become difficult with the cursor moving as if through molasses!!
After this morning's update:
Chrome OS: 0.11.257.3 (Official Build) dev-channel x86-mario
Google Chrome: 11.0.696.7
So if you are using your CR-48 for serious work, stay away from this update.
There have been some issues with the various flags/settings. Just a wild guess, but maybe that could be an issue.
Could be. I dunno. All I know is that I have only three flags enabled, (a) Media Player (b) Advanced File system and (c) Print preview. And they were enabled prior to this update, and they are enabled after. Can't imagine why they would cause such a severe performance issue right after the update...
