Cool Google CR-48 Notebook *FULL* Hardware Specs

So after much debate, I have chosen to provide this information to what seems to be the only real running discussion forum for the CR-48/Chrome OS, so with no further ado.........

    HARDWARE SPECS FOR CR-48

    Intel Atom Processor N455 1.66GHz 512K Cache

    Tripod Motherboard MARIO – 6050A240910 – MB – A03

    Hynix 2GB DDR3 1Rx8 PC3 – 10600S Ram

    Intel CG82NM10 PCH

    ITE IT8500E Flash ROM

    SanDisk sdsa4dh-016G 16GB SATA SSD

Qualcomm Gobi2000 PCI Express Mini Card

    AzureWave 802.11 a/b/g/n PCI-E Half MiniCard

    Atheros AR5BBU12 Bluetooth V2.1 EDR

as you can probably guess, I did receive one as an individual Thursday afternoon so I'v had a chance to look over it quiet extensively if you know what I mean, photos to Engadget...hope everyone enjoys the post and look forward to further discussions about the CR-48 and Chrome OS

Thanks for the info. I got one Friday, and I've been wondering about the RAM and SSD size. I'm surprised to see the AR5BBU12, as I don't see any way to use it in 0.9.128.8. Future enhancement I suppose!

I was not to much surprised to find it stuffed in the front of the case as the signup survey asked you to check all the ways you currently connect devises and one of them was bluetooth. along with no bluetooth support I have yet to make the SD card slot truly read anything, I can get it to detect a card and even display the formated name of the card but it well not show anything stored on the card, which baffles me.

I didn't think to try the SD card slot yet, but that's interesting too. There doesn't seem to be a means of file browsing, even through the terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T).

I've noticed that the left rear side of my battery isn't quite flush with the chassis. It naturally hangs out approximatively 1mm. Does yours seem any different?

yes my battery also hangs down slightly, I would attribute this to it being such a thin battery and the latch is offset to the right.

I also forgot to mention, CTRL + O brings up the Content Browser (file system I suppose) it has a folder for any screenshots you may have taken and also anything you download from the web is stored here. This is also where the name of the SD car well show up, but again like I said it doesn't allow you to access the sd card.

Also I'm unsure if you knew but pressing CTRL+ALT+/? well show you a keyboard layout of different keyboard shortcuts.

Gotcha. I saw this when clicking around in chrome://downloads/

Interesting that the Content Browser can't dive into ZIP files.

Interesting find, would be curious as how you got into that directory? DEV mode? I haven't flipped my DEV switch yet but I'm itching to lol.

But of course! The development switch is not that scary! :-)
