    Hacking the CR-48

There's a good bit of information for how to jailbreak the CR-48 on the Chromium wiki. The basic idea is flip the developer switch behind the battery, and then do whatever you want in a regular shell.

So does anyone want to give quick lesson on what someone could accomplish using this shell? Maybe even just a command list?

You can even access the terminal without flipping the dev switch.

im not an expert on the terminal by any means can find my way around a bit, change directory copy files

cp is the copy command ex cp /media/FF1A100/DCIM/PHOTOS/*.* /home/chronos/users/Downloads
    ls lists the directory
cd change directory ex cd /media
cd .. is change dir up a level
    mkdir makes a directory
sudo before a command will give superuser permission for that command if know root password
exit leaves shell back to crosh

What's the difference between shell and crosh?
And also, how do you list drives?

So are we talking dos commands? I'm not sure I even want to go back to that again. LOL! No, actually I very sure I don't want to go back there again. Just let me plug it in and have it work.

The rest of you codeheads can do all of that stuff. I have already served my time.
