So I tried following the steps over at http://cr-48.wikispaces.com/Windows8 to install windows 8. Flashed the bios, made sure my bios were correct, and then booted the windows 8 usb stick which I've tried making twice from two different computers on a 8GB Thumb drive. It loads and I'm able to hit install, it then takes a while and eventually just stops on "missing cd/dvd for driver..." I have tried messing with the bios, but I seem to get the same result everytime. Anyone have any ideas?

This issue has apparently been a problem for installations of Windows 8 on a variety of computers, not just the Cr-48.

The consensus in the various discussion threads I've looked at seems to be that you should:

1. Re-download the Windows 8 installation .iso and verify the hash

2. Try a different USB drive

Win8 only installed for me from the SD card, not USB drive. I verified the hash, and used the Windows 7 USB Tool (or whatever its called). I only needed a 4gb SD card. Are you trying 32bit or 64bit?

I've only been trying the 32bit. I'll have to confirm the hash and try another usb. If it fails again i'll have to see if I can purchase a 4gb sd card.
