CR-48 from eBay. Want to revert BIOS.

Hi. I purchased a CR-48 from eBay and it arrived today but and the previous owner has flashed the BIOS. I want to revert the BIOS to the original so that upon boot the H2O BIOS screen is not displayed, but the original chrome screen instead. No other OS is installed, only ChromeOS. I have no idea if the previous owner backed up the BIOS or anything.

There is a guide to restoring the standard Cr-48 BIOS here:
    http://cr-48.wikispaces.com/Flash+BIOS#restore

The guide includes links to a "stock" version of the Cr-48 BIOS that will work since you don't have the original available.

I would recommend booting from a USB version of Ubuntu and using Flashrom from there. Instructions to create an this USB are available here:

I have the same Issue, but The DEV switch doesn't seem to work. I'm stuck in Ver 16 with no way to up grade.

If you are using the Insyde H2O BIOS then the developer switch will not do anything and Chrome OS will not update.

You can restore the stock BIOS to get this functionality back.
