I have drivers and a working firmware loader for Windows 7 x86/64!!! and linux!

I'll post them, but I need to get sleep. So hopefully early tomorrow evening. Been working on this for a few days now. URGH!

The linux drivers - no kernel compilation needed, you can just stick the Qualcomm binary/firmware in /opt/Qualcomm, and compile/install the QCSerial2k/QC usb net whatever in the archive here (do make and then sudo make install in each extracted dir). Then do a modprobe QCSerial2k and then modprobe QCUSBNet (as root). I wrote a rules.d to auto run this at startup and resume, but I need to test that some more before I stick it up here - its really simple though.

For windows, I've reverse engineered the firmware upload process... Then edited the existing gobiloader for windows here:

    https://github.com/joshperry/stuff/t...er/GobiLoader/

More to come, check out my blog or this post for updates: http://blog.bagearon.com.

Have a lot more to share about this beautiful little piece of machinery...

    Night!

Works great! Didn't have a bit of trouble following your directions. Any way to enable the GPS COM port? Thanks a bunch!

My kudos go to you, sir. Thank you. You've done the work I've struggled with for ages in what seems like no time at all.

    Cheers!

The link you provided for the Linux drivers is broken. Can you provide a working link?

Two things ... Because I am a useless noob.
    1. Can you release the QCSerialUSB.rar files as a tar.gz or zip file so people can open it nativity in Linux.
    2. Can you place a shell script in the code so that it will install the driver for the user?

I did the first part, you can download the zip version of the file from here:

Shouldn't need to but potentially you have to disable driver signature enforcement - potentially thats changed in sp1... Sure its x64 and you are using the filter driver BEFORE any other drivers?

I went to Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal.

    From there I entered,
    Code:
    sudo su
, to get into a root console.
From there I cd'ed into the directory where I downloaded and already extracted the files you had posted.
    Code:
    cd /media/CR-48/QCSerialUSB
From there this is the output that I got ...

    Code:
    root@cr48-ubuntu:/media/CR-48/QCSerialUSB/QCUSBNet# cd QCUSBNet/
    root@cr48-ubuntu:/media/CR-48/QCSerialUSB/QCUSBNet# sudo make install
