It really doesn't look that much different, and certainly isn't bringing anything new. It's umm...lighter? I have to admit the price points are making it fairly tough on competition though, especially now that the first iPad is $400.
Here's a good tablet comparison chart with Android tablets:

And here's a good comparison chart with the Xoom, TouchPad, and PlayBook:

Oh, and Steve Jobs isn't looking so great. He looks like he weighs about 90 pounds...

The new iPad will pay for Steve's next round of medical care as folks line up to replace their one year young equipment.
The Doc...
lol, well guys, I've become a sucker for Apple.
I just put my Ipad 32gb on eBay. I'm hoping to get something like £360+, I'll then top it off and get the Ipad 2. I'll be one of the douchebags who will pre-order.
It sucks how we in the UK will be getting it on the 25th of March though. I'm personally thoroughly impressed with the device. After owning an Ipad I understand why this new iteration is simply awesome (even compared to the Xoom).

Tablets and mobile computing are something Apple does pretty well. Once you get past the "walled garden" approach, iDevices are really quite good.
Do I wish I had flash on my iPhone? Sometimes. Was I annoyed it took so long to get Google Voice? Yeah. I was.
Have I used Android? I don't personally own an Android device, but I have worked hands-on with them. For me, the fragmentation is an issue. I don;t have that with an iDevice
Apple makes a pretty product, but the fact that you need to use iTunes is a no sale in my book.
iTunes isn't a horrible software package. Or are you objecting to having to do everything through Apple?
I object to running everything through apple absolutely. Plus iTunes on a windows based machine is like running bloatware. If Apple streamlined iTunes and it used less resources then it would be more of an option. Just my opinion.
Windows is bloatware. Hell, Ubuntu is getting rather bloated. Unfortunately, it's the nature of software. "Everyone" (in quotes, because it really isn't everyone) wants it to do more... and the packages get bigger, and bigger, and bigger.
I do agree that Apple's products are almost always of high quality, and what they do they do extremely well. It's what they don't do that makes me want to go to the Android products.
As for iTunes, I can't stand it (at least on Windows, never tried it on a Mac). My wife has an iPhone, and we've had nothing but problems with syncing, updates, and backups. It's a nightmare. Windows mobile was easier to backup and upgrade.
