Friends Don't Let Friends Use IE6, Says Microsoft.

Microsoft has started a website, that's basically the IE6 death clock. They are trying to get IE6 usage across the world down to 1% total. It shows the US has lowest percent of IE6 users at 2.9% and China has the highest percent of users at 34.5%, with the global average being 12.0%. Microsoft also on the site has put up slogans such as "Friends Don't Let Friends Use Internet Explorer 6." under the "Educate Others" section. You too can join the cause to get IE6 down to less then 1% by clicking here.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of "Friends Don't Let Friends Use Internet Explorer 6", but I really think it should be "Friends Don't Let Friends Use Anything Other Then Google Chrome." or "Friends Don't Let Friends Use Internet Explorer, Period."

I smell a "geek" T-shirt design out of this.

Front - Friends don't let friends use IE
Back - "The Chrome logo" with the words "Google Chrome" under it.

LOL!...Ya, anything but any form of IE, that's an accident waiting to happen. Wonder if we could get MS to fund the T's.

Dude! No wonder South Korea is under a massive DDoS attack today. They have 24.8% usage in a 10 year old browser!

I am surprised to see China at 34.5%!

+1! IE is dead (almost).. Even in internet browser comparison for 2011, IE had been pushed away to the 3rd spot behind Mozilla and Chrome..

I've made most of my friends, even my girlfriend, switch to chrome than to use pesky old I.E.

I usually become upset with someone for using any version from IE. So i just redirect them over to chrome.

it's terrible how many people use IE at all... but why so many using such an outdated version? unless 30% of china is running windows 98!
