I'm a software tester but currently looking for a paying job.
OK, not looking any longer. I just got a 9 month contract, finally.
Wow! Lots of interesting and varied jobs!
I'm a mental health counselor currently working in a call center helping people who want to set up mental health services or require in the moment support. As we say, we do everything form saving lives to taking messages.
In my former life, I went to a science/tech magnet school and entered college looking to be a computer engineer. I'm happy that I have the career that I do, and now I can just mess around with computers and technology for fun.
I am a .net Developer
Hey whats up everyone,
Chrome is new to me I am still getting to grips with the whole concept (7 years with Windows) I purchased a Samsung Chromebook for £299 WiFi model, which I thought was a very reasonable price.
I am a Automatic Fire Detection Engineer. Electronics, information management systems, bolt on / upgrade PCB's, hardware configuration, binary coding and field wiring fault tolerances are all part of my job. I have strong interest in all electronics and am always keen to know where the technology will take us next!
I just realized how long it's been since I posted in this thread. My original post has been updated, but I'll go ahead and put it here anyway.
I now work for Research In Motion as an Analyst in Technical Support. Basically I fix people's BlackBerry Enterprise Servers. As an Analyst I get direct calls from people with higher level support contracts, as well as taking consults and escalations from Associates at RIM. I love my job.![]()
My title of Analyst is a little different than what most think of when they hear analyst, which is usually more of a business analyst. I think my title comes more from the fact that I get more complicated and intricate problems that I have to analyze, research and solve, often issues that don't have any documentation yet.
Speaking strictly from my own personal point of view, I don't see RIM going anywhere anytime soon. We're still doing well financially (even despite the PlayBook debacle) and we have a lot of customers, even if the public is kind of giving us the stink eye right now.
