Chrome OS Netbook USB and SD card usage

Hey ya'll. Just got my Chrome OS netbook, which comes with SD card slot and USB. I understand that I can't/don't want to save files from the netbook to the drives, but I would think it would be beneficiary to be able to plug an SD card in and upload pics to Picasa, or Box, or any other cloud app.

When I try to upload in Picasa or any other app I get a blank dialog box. I've reformated USB sticks and SD cards to FAT32 with no luck.

    Thanks for the direction.

When you say you have just recieved a Chrome OS netbook, are you referring to the CR-48 or a netbook that you put Chromium OS onto? If it's just Chromium OS, did you install it on a USB stick, on your HD or are you using Vmware?

I got the CR-48 yesterday, and that's the Chrome OS question I had regarding. Doesn't it seem beneficial to be able to attach ext storage to upload to the cloud? Thanks.

I have gotten a Cr48 also, however I have not yet tried anything related to Picasa, I would expect, however, that it would indeed be useful. Have you enabled the advanced file system support in about:flags? It wasn't enabled by default here.

If you have, I would suggest firing up their bugtracking and reporting the issue.

This is exactly what I needed, thanks!

I turned on the file system support in about:flags but nothing comes up in Content Browser. This is a great start though. Can you browse a SD or USB with your CR-48?

    Thanks!

I've been trying to access the sd card also. Where is about:flags?

It would be great if one of you guys did a step by step tutorial that we can put up at the Blog. It seems like this question has come up quite a number of times over the last few days.
