    Chrome on old Dell laptop

I hope this is the right place to post... I thought it might be fun to revive an old laptop with Chrome OS, so I followed the instructions on http://chromeos.hexxeh.net, built a USB boot drive and fired it up. What happens is I get the chromium splash screen, then it all goes black and just sort of sits there. I know that's not much info, but any thoughts? Or is it sort of hit and miss with the hardware for Chrome OS? Thanks.

I've had hit or miss luck on old laptops, out of three, two worked one didn't.
Possibly try a CD or DVD boot and or a hard drive install if you have an empty one around.
There's a few other forums for Hexxeh builds that may be more helpful.
    Good luck

I would try out the brand new Lime builds from Hexxeh. They supposedly have better hardware support. You can find them at Chromium OS builds by Hexxeh.
