I'm so proud of this CR-48 hinge fix I had to sign up and show everyone :-D
My hinge has been off for months and it finally got to the point where it was unusable. I basically took out the three screws in there and drilled a hole (I used a hot needle to puncture some holes and then a small screwdriver to punch it through) and used a few 2-56 screws and bolts I got at Radioshack to secure the hinge back on. I did it for both sides and it works GREAT! I mean, the two parts line up exactly, and it feels just like new, well, except for the bolts on the back.
