    Unhappy ChromeOS-Vanilla-0.8.71.2010_10_28_1957-rdb7d4e77.tar.gz ??

...Recent Chromium OS Vanilla revisions by Hexxeh for some reason don't work on my Asus EEE PC 900xx (1GB RAM / 20GB SMM/SSD) orig. shipped with Linux OS.
The PC keeps re-booting (tryinig to) loading the OS.

Latest Chrominum OS Flow revision by Hexxeh works fine though.

Reading articles on the net I found that a lot of people have problems with the latest Vanilla releases. (esp. on older type netbooks)

I am looking for this Vanilla revision (file) as people mentioned this release was the 'last' without problems.

    ChromeOS-Vanilla-0.8.71.2010_10_28_1957-rdb7d4e77.tar.gz

Searched every source I could think of; even on Torrent sites but no luck. (no seeders, lol)

Hope some1 here can help me out.

    Thanks in advance!

Go to ChromiumOS Vanilla Nightly Builds and choose the 3/16/11 or later build. Works good on my HP mini. Hexxeh lost his older builds when he switched to a new server I believe. I had trouble with the 3/13 to 3/15 builds so I would advise using 3/16 or 3/17 builds.

Hope this is helpful for you.

Dan, thanx for the swift reply. I tried several of the recent Vanilla builds, incl. the both u advised, unfort. no success.
Same problem, my netbook keeps rebooting trying to load the image from USB.

Tried recent Vanilla VM builds and the work fine in Virtual Player on my desktop machines.

So... I'm still hoping somebody who dl the 28-10-2010 build saved the image.

Have you had any luck finding that build? I have looked, too, but hadn't any success either.

I am currently running ChromiumOS Vanilla, build 3/27/11. I did the destructive (wipes the hard-drive) and am running it as an actual OS. I have no sound and Flash won't update but I'm hoping that that will be addressed soon. It moves along nice and quick, better than off of the usb stick. I hope you can find a build that works with your Asus EEE soon.

    Cheers, Dan
