Here is a screenshot I took of the new Samsung Chrome Notebook. Can anyone source the full specs...any other details e.t.c?

In my country, it should be:
Ultra-slim 2.0 centimeter thin machine, weigh 1.48 kilogram.
Now, that only I can imagine how featherweight does it and can be considered slim profiled netbook.
Samsung had been produced such a nice notebook too before.. Take a look at this: Series 9 Notebook | Samsung Office Series 9 Notebook
Yes, I know it's not Chrome OS netbook. But, we are so lucky Samsung is really into Google's family. Android and now Chrome OS.
Big claps for Samsung!![]()
I do, really, like the design of it. I think I might get one. Even tho I have a Cr-48, it would be nice to have something with a bit more power. I wonder if I can get a review unit to test out for this website. Seeing as I'm doing other hardware reviews.
+1! Totally agree with you Mark! I want to have one Chromebook. And luckily Samsung produce it now. I think the specs are acceptable considered as netbook category. A really really nice design for me.. Series 5 is my target to at least have hands-on idea now as an outsider of US region.![]()
I am definately getting one of these, afterall I was deprived of a CR-48 :-(
Does anyone know when they will be shipping in the UK (and other countries). All I heard is that they will be accepting pre-orders on the 15th. This kinda sucks. I may have to buy one from the USA. It will turn out to be cheaper anyway.
For me as well, I think the design is spot on. The large trackpad, chicklet keboard, slim design and the little Chrome logo all tick the right boxes for me.
What do you guys think of the addition of an HD camera. Was this overkill? Maybe if they had a version of the device with less premium parts, we would have had a way cheaper alternative.

Does it come with a normal keyboard, or a modified one like the Cr-48?
To err is human, to really foul up requires a computer!
It should be available on the same date as that of the rest of us. As far as I know pre-order and release dates are the same because I've not heard anything on the contrary. I know for sure that everyone will be able to pre-order on the same date so why not ship on the same date.
I wish it was as understated as the Cr-48, I like that no one really knows what it is until I open it up. It's much more of the "Wow, that's a laptop."
No, I don't think it was over kill, I think that's a natural progression from the baseline hardware we test pilots got. I also don't think that anything less then a LED screen makes sense for this class of hardware. While don't get me wrong the screen in the Cr-48 is pretty great, it's hard to watch movies and things on it like I could with my ThinkPad with it's viewing angles. I'm not suggesting that I would get a Cr-48 with an IPS display, but I think the LED version hits an important balance between color / picture quality and price. I hope that Netflix looks as good as it does when I'm using it on my ThinkPad.
No, it's using the Cr-48 style keyboard, as that's a standard for Chromebooks.
Yes, LED's screen is more acceptable as the reviewer at the I/O already mentioned about it. But, if Samsung apply LED screen to the Series 5, I don't think the price will be the same as current one. So far, I accept it as what it come with. Looking for 1st review from anyone who get it first and maybe someone from this forum? No, I don't think it was over kill, I think that's a natural progression from the baseline hardware we test pilots got. I am pretty sure that the screen on the Samsung is an LED screen.
