Hi! I'm super new to the forums, but I thought I'd start asking about the software upgrade to get rid of the static problem with google chrome OS. I looked into it a little and tried to get the upgrade others were talking about, but when I would run the command prompt "shell" it did not recognize it at all. I am NOT a computer programmer at all and would really like to know how to improve my experience with my netbook. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Curious of this myself. Got the notebook yesterday and today went to watch a Youtube video and got nothing but crackles and screeches. Thought at first this was a hardware issue and needed to return it...but with so many others having similar issues it seems to be related to the version of Chrome I guess.

I've tried, when I get the sound issue, refreshing the page and a few times it actually works.

The newest software update in the Development channel seems to fix it. All you have to do is click the Wrench icon and go to About Chrome OS. Click on More Info and change your channel to Development, the mash the Check for Updates button a few times. All the Development channel does is give you the latest update version before people in the Beta channel get it.
